Mission
The mission of the Hart County High School Media Center is to promote literacy, provide access to materials and information, collaborate with students, teachers, and staff, and to inspire students to pursue academic and career excellence.
Students deserve a media center that is welcoming and conducive to learning. Please respect the rights of others. Be thoughtful and try to keep the media center a pleasant place for reading and studying.

Goals​

To maintain and expand a collection of current materials to support and enrich students' recreational reading.

To maintain and expand a collection of current materials to support and enrich the HCHS curriculum.

To promote and encourage a life-long love of learning and reading among students, staff, and parents.

To teach students how to access, evaluate, and utilize information.

To collaborate with teachers as an instructional partner in teaching while utilizing and integrating technologies to benefit student learning and production.

Staff
Mrs. Hudson has been the media specialist at HCHS since 2019. She previously served as a media specialist at Hartwell Elementary School and in St. Johns County, Florida. She has also taught third grade and elementary special education classes. Mrs. Hudson graduated from Hart County High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of North Georgia and a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina.
